Ready for an epic adventure?

Most students LOVE a challenge, especially one where they can see what the other kids in the studio are doing.  The Cosmic Scale Challenge is an epic way to get a studio energized into scale learning.

In each mission, students are challenged to “orbit” a planet by learning three scales.  When they have successfully completed an orbit of three planets, they can land their space vehicle and report to Mission Control (that’s you!)

You can choose many ways to use the Cosmic Space Challenge.  Students can receive the slides BEFORE their lesson, AFTER their lesson, or even DURING a Zoom lesson or during off-bench time.

Each mission includes four video slides that show students how to play the scales.

Also included are keyboard “maps” like the one below.

Students must manipulate the red dots onto the correct keys to show their knowledge of the scales.

To make sure equipment (finger numbers) is in order, students must slide the finger numbers on to the correct key and double check them before orbit.

Digital Badge Boards

After safely landing, students can report to Mission Control (that’s you!) to demonstrate their scales.  You choose whether to have them send a video report, or an in-person briefing

To keep track of your students and their progress, included is a digital badge board, or a printable checklist.

All “pilots” use a checklist during their takeoff and landing procedures.
