Group Piano Goes Zoom with Dorla Aparicio
Show Notes and Links
Hey, thanks so much for “eavesdropping” on my conversation with Dorla!
Dorla Pryce Aparicio, (or Miss Dorla, as her students affectionately call her), has been teaching early childhood music, private and group piano for more than 30 years. She received her undergraduate degree in piano performance at the University of Montemorelos in Mexico and a Master of Music degree in piano pedagogy from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dorla maintains a full teaching schedule with over 40 students in her private studio, as adjunct music instructor at Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas, and writing curriculums for piano teachers and homeschooling families.
Follow this link to learn more about Dorla’s Piano Pyramid. It’s her piano repertoire for multi-level group piano classes.
Dorla also made a virtual piano camp guide to go with all of her dynamic piano camps. Find them at the links below.

Here’s an affiliated link to the book that Dorla could not teach without: A Music Learning Theory for Newborn and Young Children" by Edwin Gordon.
And, it’s always interesting checking out other piano teacher’s websites, especially now that you’ve gotten to know Dorla a little better. Follow this link.
