Pop to Piece Composium
Pop to Piece Composium
Join this three-week course to develop back-pocket pop chord progressions into a complete composition with structure, contrast, and harmonic color in a guided, supportive process.
You’ve played. Now let’s shape it into something real.
If you’ve ever improvised something and thought, “I don’t want to lose that…”—this is your next step.
In this guided composium, you’ll take simple pop chord progressions and develop them into a complete, expressive piece.
How We’ll Build Your Piece
We’ll start with a simple progression—something you’ve played before or something new—and shape it step-by-step into a finished composition.
Along the way, you’ll learn how to:
Create a structure so your piece has direction and flow
Add contrast to keep your listener engaged
Use color tones (7ths, 9ths, add2s) to deepen your sound
Refine voicings and patterns for a polished, modern feel
Develop melodic ideas that make your music memorable
You’ll Walk Away With:
A completed pop-style notated composition in Noteflight
A clear process for developing your own musical ideas
Tools to move from improvisation to intentional creation
Greater confidence in your creative voice
