A Musical Tribute: Let Freedom Ring
Instead of sharing a written quote for this month, I thought I'd share a musical arrangement. I've had the creative bug lately.
The lyrics of this patriotic tune were written by Samuel Francis Smith in 1831.
My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims' pride,
From ev'ry mountainside
Let freedom ring!
Inspired by a guitar and vocal arrangement I heard on the radio, my arrangement gets hung up on the ending phrase:
"let freedom ring"
Seems appropriate for the holiday tomorrow.
Enjoy and Happy 4th of July to all those in the states.
