Joy to the World for Organ [Single License]
Joy to the World for Organ [Single License]
This arrangement, originally written for the piano, is now a delightful dance for the organ.
What does it sound like when heaven and nature sing?
For centuries, we have enjoyed an answer to that question by singing Mason’s majestic melody and Handel’s powerful arrangement of the tune ANTIOCH or “Joy to the World.”
I’m not about to claim that this arrangement comes close to nature’s sound, but arranging the tune had me pondering and, thus the title.
This setting of “Joy to the World” offers plenty of exuberant syncopation, colorful harmonies, patterns that echo rolling hills and a peppy interlude that reflects unbridled joy.
