The right-hand leaps and shifting meters create a luminous, lyrical setting for Bring a Torch, Jeannette, Isabella. The text of the traditional French carol sends Jeannette and Isabella running with torches to announce Christ’s birth—then gently hushes the gathering crowd so the sleeping child will not awaken.

This arrangement is ideal for seasoned church musicians who need a sweet two-minute sound bite for a holiday service, or for intermediate students who prefer fresh harmonies.
