Hi, my students call me Ms. Leila
It’s my goal that in just a few lessons you morph from a piano student to a piano player!
To do this, I keep up on innovative teaching methods to encourage you to stick to the bench for life. Customizing lessons to suit YOUR interests is a priority and therefore I offer “blended” instruction in Classical, Jazz, and Pop along with creativity beyond the page.
Players not only have a private lesson but an Off-Bench Time as well--it’s optional for adult students. Assignments during this time include reinforcement of concepts discussed at lessons, music history, sight reading, ear training and more. Most often exercises are completed on the iPad, my favorite teaching assistant, that offers gamification: learning through gaming!
